Project Quality Assurance Plan Definition (PQAP)

Kynetia provides its clients with a framework assuring the quality of each of its projects. Not all projects are the same, and just as each needs its own architecture, each also needs a specific quality assurance plan.

Kynetia has a range of standard plans, and these are adapted on the basis of certain guidelines to establish a plan for each project in line with needs based on the size of the project, the number of people involved in the development, initial methodological restrictions imposed by the client, etc.

The project quality assurance plan includes a series of measures designed to measure the level of quality of the developments at any time against the quality parameters established. This enables project managers to respond appropriately and take action in line with the measures established in the project quality assurance plan.

The PQAP includes guidelines for the development of code to ensure that it is intelligible and easily maintained, as well as procedures for the production of quality software regardless of whether the work is performed entirely in-house or is partially subcontracted, or whether the project forms part of a wider assignment.
The PQAP sets out:

  • Purpose of the plan
  • Reference documentation
  • Project life cycle
  • Project management
  • Project documentation
  • Standards, practices and agreements
  • Measures established
  • Review and inspection mechanisms
  • Set-up management and version control
  • Incident management (reporting and resolution)
  • Development and testing environments
  • Tools, techniques and methodologies employed
  • Control over goods and services received from providers, where applicable
  • Policy for the storage, maintenance and conservation of documentation and project sources
  • Methodology employed in the preparation of the test plan

The following activities are undertaken to ensure the success of the plan

  • Drafting
  • Acceptance by the parties involved
